Ryan Goins left last nights contest after being spiked in the forearm by Tampa Bays Rays shortstop Daniel Robertson. The initial injury looked worse than it was as Robertson stepped on Goins who was in a great amount of displeasure on the play.
The prognosis is just a bruise after x-rays were negative and Goins expects to take batting practice today before the final game of their series with the Rays. Prior to the injury, Goins matched his career high for runs batted in when he knocked in his 45th on the season.
