Julian Merryweather who the Blue Jays acquired from the Cleveland Indians in the Josh Donaldson trade made his season debut on Monday with the Rookie League Dunedin Blue Jays. Merryweather is rehabbing back from Tommy John surgery and tossed two innings for the Baby Jays.
Merryweather surrendered two runs on four hits while fanning three in his debut. The 27-year old had been lighting up the radar gun with triple digits leading up to the appearance.
