Star Wars Night ended with a play at the plate as Domonic Brown was thrown out at home. Buffalo managed to squeeze just one run out of ten hits, largely because they did not work a single walk. Jose Bautista was 1-for-4 with a strikeout. Both Brown and catcher A.J. Jimenez hit two doubles while Dalton Pompey went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI.
Drew Hutchison looked strong, pitching six innings of one-run ball while allowing just four hits and striking out four. Hutchison allowed six runs in just two and two-thirds innings in his last start before leaving with a blister.
