Blue Jays may be officially attempting to tank the season

Edwin Jackson made his seventh appearance of the season and continued to prove that he has no business pitching in the majors any longer. The 35-year old surrendered three round-trippers and seven runs while only retiring two batters last night versus the Los Angeles Angels.

Jackson now sports a 12.43 earned run average while serving up 12 homers and 35 earned runs in just 25.1 innings of work. For a team entrenched in a rebuild, there is no reason to keep trotting Jackson out to the bump every fifth day unless you are intentionally trying to tank the remainder of the season.
