Blue Jays: Marcus Stroman has mediocre rehab start

Marcus Stroman toed the rubber opposite the Charlotte Stone Crabs and major leaguers Kevin Kiermaier and Adeiny Hechavarria who are also on their own respective rehab assignments for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Stroman surrendered two earned runs over 4.1 innings of work however the 27-year-old did issue four free passes while fanning three Stone Crabs. The only hit Stroman surrendered was a 2-run shot to prospect Jesus Sanchez in the top of the 4th inning. He ended the outing with a 4.15 earned run average while throwing only 34 of his 60 pitches for strikes.
