TORONTO - The Blue Jays were built to slug, but they are not just a one-trick pony.
Saturday, they beat the Houston Astros with timely hitting and a flurry of five stolen bases, the first time since August 2011 they have done that.
The stolen base does not get as much respect as it once did, but Jays manager John Gibbons appreciates how it can set up a team for success.
"It gets guys in scoring position and then it doesn't take that gap shot or the home run to put together a rally," Gibbons said.
