Kendrys Morales took sole possession of the Blue Jays franchise consecutive home run record yesterday afternoon when Morales went deep for the seventh game in a row. The designated hitter surpassed outfielder Jose Cruz Jr. who held the team record of six consecutive games with a round-tripper.
The 35-year old will now attempt to tie Ken Griffey Jr. Dale Long and Don Mattingly for the MLB record versus a pitcher that Morales is currently hitting .667 off of this season. Morales has four hits including a home run this season off Hess in six at-bats.
