After the game Sunday, Ken Giles explained to the Toronto Star’s Rosie DiManno that he is actually happier with the Blue Jays than he was with the Astros.
The former World Series champ said specifically:
“I’m actually enjoying the game more than I did for my entire time in Houston. It’s kind of weird to say that because I won a world series with that team. But it’s like, I just felt trapped there. I didn’t feel like myself there. Overall, I felt out of place.”
The interesting quote is sure to spark some reaction in the Houston Astros clubhouse as they arrive in Toronto to finish their season series with the Blue Jays.
