According to multiple reports (including Shi Davidi of Sportsnet), Canadian righty Jordan Romano is returning to the Blue Jays organization after being informed by the Texas Rangers that he will not be making their Opening Day roster. Romano was selected by the Rangers in the Rule 5 Draft on December 13.
Laura Armstrong of The Toronto Star adds that Romano was offered back to the Blue Jays for $50,000, a deal which the club evidently accepted.
Earlier this week, Blue Jays general manager Ross Atkins predicted that Romano would be heading back to the organization.
