John Gibbons is one year removed from his tenure with the Toronto Blue Jays, however, the 57-year old skipper is ready to get back into the game. Gibbons obviously realizes the window for another managerial opportunity is closing if he does not act sooner than later.
There are currently eight manager vacancies around the league with Gabe Kapler of the Phillies being the latest skipper to get the ax. Gibbons identified three organizations in which he has previous ties when deciding where to apply.
Gibby has applied to the New York Mets, San Diego Padres, and Kansas City Royals thus far in hopes of returning to the majors.
