Jim Bowden of ESPN is reporting the Blue Jays, Rays, Royals and Mets all have an interest in the 27-year old native of Langley, British Columbia.
Lawrie was a former 1st round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in 2008 drafted as a catcher. The Jays acquired Lawrie in the winter of 2010 shipping pitcher Shaun Marcum to the Brew Crew in exchange for the converted infielder.
The Canuck then was involved in one of the biggest trades in Blue Jays history when he was part of the package sent to Oakland in exchange for Josh Donaldson.
