Toronto is still considering Martin day to day, but if he doesn't play Wednesday then he should be ready to go Friday night at Tampa Bay, which follows a club off-day on Thursday. The Blue Jays do not expect Martin to require a stint on the 15-day disabled list.
"Not at this point, no," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Tuesday afternoon. "We're hoping he'll be ready tomorrow. If not tomorrow, we'll get him through the off-day, and he should be fine. That's the plan anyways."
Josh Donaldson got another start at designated hitter on Tuesday night.
