Socrates Brito had a horrible Blue Jays audition through 17 games after he was acquired from the San Diego Padres in exchange for Rodrigo Orozco on April 02nd. Brito hit a pitiful .077/.163/.128 while mustering only three hits to go along with 17 strikeouts in 43 plate appearances.
Brito had a propensity for chasing off-speed pitches out of the zone which opposition pitchers exploited to the fullest. It seemed like Brito would go weeks at a time without seeing a fastball as he continued to flail uncontrollably on a steady off-speed diet.
