Dalton Pompey has had a roller coaster career with the Blue Jays thus far, the 26-year old has been injured a half dozen times with an assortment of ailments. The once promising prospect has witnessed numerous other players leapfrog him on the outfield organizational depth chart while he has been sidelined.
Pompey also fell out of favour with Triple-A manager Bobby Meacham last season in Buffalo. The outfielder was sent home and suspended after an altercation with the skipper. Yet the resilient, talented Pompey is still on the cusp of breaking camp with the team after a successful Grapefruit League action run this spring.
