Blue Jays: Granderson wins team’s Heart and Hustle Award nomination

Curtis Granderson, the likeably polished veteran outfielder, has just been named the Blue Jays’ nominee for the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Heart & Hustle Award, an honour given to individuals who “demonstrate a passion for the game of baseball and best embody the values, spirit, and traditions of the game”.

Playing in his 15th major league season, this is Granderson’s seventh team nomination, according to the MLBPAA website. Last year’s winner was New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner.

After he retires, they should name it the Curtis Granderson Heart And Hustle Award.
