Made MLB Debut on May, 03rd, 2010 with D’backs.
After his promotion in 2010 Valdez made 9 appearances, starting two games for Arizona. The rookie hurler went 1-2 with a 7.65 earned run average while allowing 17 earned runs in 20 innings of work. In his MLB debut, he earned his first career win limiting the Hoston Astros to a single run over five innings. His battery mate in Arizona was none other than the current Jays backup catcher Miguel Montero.
