Blue Jays expect Hutchison to be better in 2016

BOCA RATON, FLA. - Blue Jays’ interim general manager Tony LaCava has a hunch about Hutch.

LaCava — possibly because the Jays aren’t particularly confident about signing ace David Price or any other top calibre free agent starter this off-season — talked about how he believes RHP Drew Hutchison will have a big bounce back year in 2016.

The way LaCava sees it, barring a free agent signing or two for the rotation (or a trade for an elite starter), Hutchison could be back in the rotation next season — the same Hutchison who started 2015 well but seemed to implode as the year went on, to the point where he was optioned to triple-A Buffalo on August 16 and wasn’t named to the playoff roster.
