The 2020 version of the MLB amateur draft will be like none other this summer as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. The Blue Jays will in all likelihood only have five rounds of selections, however, that total could be increased when the actual date comes closer.
According to Jim Callis of MLB.com, the Jays will have $9,694,300 to spend in a five-round format and that number could increase to $10,737,700 if the draft is extended to ten rounds. The Blue Jays will have the 5th overall selection this year after picking 11th in 2019.
