According to a team announcement, the Blue Jays have designated right-handed reliever Javy Guerra for assignment as a corresponding move to the selection of the contract of Ryan Feierabend.
This is the second time that Guerra, 33, has been designated for assignment by the Blue Jays this season, the first coming on April 18.
Known primarily as a journeyman hurler with some decent potential, Guerra, a native of Denton, Texas, began his career in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, eventually reaching the bigs in 2011 and pitching to an ERA of 2.
