Blue Jays continue ascent, complete swep of Reds

TORONTO — The way the baseball has been flying out of the park over the past 30 days or so, the Blue Jays will say so long to May with some regret.

The bats were blasting again in a Wednesday matinee at the Rogers Centre, with home runs by Luke Maile and Devon Travis leading the sizzling Jays to a 5-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

The homers finished off a three-game sweep of the National League opponent. Toronto has now won eight of their past nine.

Almost incredibly after starting 2-11, they now have a 26-27 record, red-hot and ready for the American League East-leading New York Yankees, who are coming to town for a four-game weekend series.
