It was quite a promotion for the Jays on Sunday, a free cap and a guaranteed win all wrapped into one.
Pretty ballsy if you ask me.
The free chapeau came courtesy of the promotions department on what was billed as "Country Day".
The win arrived courtesy of a magic act orchestrated by John Gibbons out of depleted lineup that the manager was forced to pen, but nevertheless still managed to produce an 8-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners.
Highlighting the day were a couple of two-run bombs in the Jays four-run fifth inning.
The first came from an unlikely source as after Kevin Pillar launched a flare to right to open the inning with the Jays first hit of the game, Ryan Goins yanked a Taijuan Walker offering into the first row of seats in right beyond the Mariners bullpen.
