TORONTO - The Blue Jays and Orioles threw another log on the fire Tuesday, heating up a simmering feud to a low boil.
While the Jays were pounding out a 13-6 victory, once again providing Mark Buehrle with an embarrassment of riches for his third win of the season, a vendetta that began last season has grown in intensity in the early days of 2015.
In a game where the Jays tattooed Oriole pitching for 16 hits, including two home runs by Edwin Encarnacion, one of them a monster shot into the fifth deck at Rogers Centre, tempers flared in the eighth inning.
