Yesterday was a busy day for the Blue Jays. They signed outfielder Chris Coghlan, while waiving pitcher Mike Bolsinger.
One thing that has been criticized about the Jays has been their outfield. Despite having Kevin Pillar and Jose Bautista anchoring it, the left side looks weaker. The Jays added some depth to that side by signing Chris Coghlan to a minor-league contract.
This signing has significance outside of the fact that they added depth. The Jays have also been in on outfielder Angel Pagan, but this seems to close the door on that.
