After struggling desperately in the bullpen to the start the season, the Blue Jays have rebuilt their relief corps to include at least three pitchers, possibly more, who can close out games.
The presence of Jason Grilli and now Joaquin Benoit, veteran bullpen aces, has helped solidify the Toronto pen and allow Roberto Osuna to do his thing.
It also allows manager John Gibbons to be more creative in how he uses Osuna. Gibbons has been willing to use Osuna, even when a save was not on the line.
“Most of those have been at home in a tie game,” said Gibbons.
