DUNEDIN — It’s pretty clear that Jose Bautista does not drink the Kool-Aid that Rogers Communications mixes up in its complex web of corporate entities.
Blue Jays front office officials have often been hamstrung by budgetary restraints imposed from headquarters without regard to all the revenues that the ball team should have at its disposal. Items like the value of TV revenue disappear into the giant corporate maw, never to be seen again.
“It’s no secret that in a publicly-traded company everybody can track performance fairly easily,” Bautista said on Monday. “Stock prices are closely monitored by the whole financial world.
