DUNEDIN, Fla. -- With an hour less sleep, the bats were slow to wake up in both dugouts for the Blue Jays and Rays on Sunday. Then came the third inning, the alarm clocks sounded and Toronto's bats promptly sprung forward.
The result was the Blue Jays picking up their sixth win in their past seven spring games, beating the Rays, 6-1, behind Jose Bautista's first spring homer before a sellout crowd at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium.
Getting the start in place of the injured Matt Andriese, Tampa Bay starter Taylor Guerrieri retired six of his first seven batters, but was roughed up in the third for four runs.
