It's a hazard of the job.
In a chat with Baseball Saturday a few weeks back, recently minted L.A. Dodgers GM Farhan Zaidi admitted he was a little annoyed at the fact there's, immediately, a winner and a loser named each time a trade is made.
He has a point, of course. Especially when draft picks or prospects are involved, the true breakdown of a deal can only happen in the fullness of time - hindsight being 20/20.
It certainly appears as though - as winners and losers go - Toronto Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos is on the positive side of the ledger as MLB's non-waiver trade deadline came and went Friday afternoon, but we'll see.
