They say that on any given Sunday one football team can beat another regardless or record, stats, or skill level but on the Cam Rogers Show, we know that just isn't true. There are some bad football teams in the NFL this season - some really bad ones - and on today's episode, your host with the most breaks down the 5 teams he guarantees will wind up on the wrong end of the box score this upcoming Sunday. Check out the list below or in the video above and let Cam know what you think about his locks to lose!
5 NFL Teams Guaranteed To Lose This Sunday
5. Denver Broncos vs. the Kansas City Chiefs
With PFF's 32nd ranked Quarterback, Trevor Siemian, at the helm the Broncos are always at risk of being outgunned by a team with a better quarterback and they'll certainly face that in Alex Smith and the Kansas City Chiefs this week. Add in the fact that Denver's defense has looked especially gassed in their last two matchups along with the extra days of rest Andy Reid and the Chiefs got after playing on Thursday Night Football and you've got a recipe for disaster.
4. Los Angeles Chargers vs. the New England Patriots
After starting the season 0-4, the Chargers have quietly won 3 in a row to sneak back into the AFC wild-card race. Unfortunately for them, they're about to run into Tom Brady and the Patriots fresh off a 23-7 shellacking of the Atlanta Falcons. With New England's defense finally hitting their stride and Melvin Gordon's status in question, things are primed for another Pats victory over the Bolts.
3. Houston Texans vs. the Seattle Seahawks
Simply put, DeShaun Watson isn't ready for the 12th man. Seattle's defense is one of the best in the NFL and has looked better and better over the last several weeks of the season. Without much room to run for Watson or Lamar Miller and blanket coverage from Richard Sherman and company, Seattle is in a great position to come away with a victory over an inexperienced team.
2. Chicago Bears vs. the New Orleans Saints
One of the biggest surprises of this NFL season is how well the defense for the New Orleans Saints has played. Marshon Lattimore is developing into a stud cover corner and the unit around him is incredibly explosive and can capitalize on other teams' mistakes. That defense will face a Bears team who only threw the ball 6 times last week. Mitchell Trubisky looks promising but without a group of solid playmakers to utilize, he'll struggle to find points for his team -- something Drew Brees has never had trouble doing.
1. San Fransisco 49ers vs the Philadelphia Eagles
Anytime the #1 team in the NFL faces a bottom-2 team, it's pretty easy to predict the winner. This week 9 matchup falls right into that category as the 6-1 Eagles defend the Link against the 0-7 49ers who are fresh off a 40-10 drubbing by the Dallas Cowboys. With an inability to stop both the run and the pass, Carson Wentz, Nelson Agholor, and LeGarrette Blount should have no problem racking up the yards in this one. Sorry C.J. Beathard, but you'll have to wait a little longer to get your first win.
