Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph will miss Friday's game against the Heat and has been placed on an indefinite leave of absence following the death of his mother.
In a statement issued Friday on the death of Mae Randolph, the Grizzlies said: "Zach and his mother had an inseparable bond."

Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace said in a statement that he would never forget "the unbridled joy she took in attending our games" and noted that "Mae raised Zach to be a man with an enormous heart, who is deeply committed to enriching the lives of those in need, and for that legacy we are forever indebted to her.
