Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of the summer, which means the summer movie season is open for business. This weekend marks the release of "Baywatch," the big-screen, Rock-starring version of the David Hasselhoff slow-mo beach running lifeguard cultural milestone that graced our TV screens for over a decade.
Even better: The movie version features Zac Efron playing Matt Brody, an Olympic champion swimmer who rocks Speedos and has to rehabilitate his image after finding himself in hot water at the Summer Games. Sound familiar?
"We drew some inspiration from Ryan Lochte in our approach to to Brody," "Baywatch" director Seth Gordon said of the real-life Olympic swimmer who found himself in the middle of a Summer Games scandal.
