Many a U.S. national team fan expressed relief at the decision to fire Jurgen Klinsmann last month, but DeAndre Yedlin can be counted among the players sad to see their coach go.
The Newcastle defender earned 43 caps under Klinsmann after debuting for the U.S. in February 2014, surprisingly earning a spot at the 2014 World Cup as a 20-year-old before also representing his country at the 2015 Gold Cup and 2016 Copa America Centenario.
Klinsmann was fired in November after the U.S. opened the final stage of World Cup qualifying in CONCACAF with a 2-1 home loss to Mexico and 4-0 setback in Costa Rica.
