When the Orioles put the tarp on the field immediately after taking batting practice prior to Tuesday night's game against the Yankees, which prevented New York from getting any time on the field, the move seemed innocent enough — until the expected rain didn't arrive.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi addressed the issue during pregame media availability Tuesday, saying, “They hit and they’re covering the field." He sounded "angry," according to a New York Post article.
