Yankees sign new deal with StubHub, ending controversial arrangement with TicketMaster

The New York Yankees are moving their ticket resale business, branded Yankees Ticket Exchange, from Ticketmaster to StubHub, ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell reports.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but it is believed to be worth more than $100 million over the life of the deal, according to Rovell.

In 2012, the Yankees, along with the Los Angeles Angels, opted out of MLB’s deal with StubHub as the league’s official secondary ticketing company. But a decision made at the start of this season under the Yankees’ partnership with TicketMaster to prevent fans from printing tickets at home has not gone over well.
