Kluber, a 35-year-old right-hander, struck out nine and allowed only a walk, to Charlie Culberson in the third inning. It was the first no-hitter by a Yankee since David Cone threw a perfect game against the Montreal Expos in 1999.
It was the sixth no-hitter of the season, coming just a day after Spencer Turnbull of the Detroit Tigers completed one against the Seattle Mariners.
