Yankees' bats awaken to outslug Angels

From Triple-A to the Big Apple, journeyman Chris Parmelee made his first start at first base this season really count Wednesday as he helped the Yankees earn a 12-6 victory over the Angels.

Parmelee homered twice and drove in three runs filling in for Mark Teixeira, who landed on the disabled list Saturday. It was the third multi-home run game in Parmelee's career. He has also spent time with the Twins and Orioles.

Carlos Beltran, who has salvaged the Yankees' offense this season, got in on the action as well Wednesday.
