From Triple-A to the Big Apple, journeyman Chris Parmelee made his first start at first base this season really count Wednesday as he helped the Yankees earn a 12-6 victory over the Angels.
Parmelee homered twice and drove in three runs filling in for Mark Teixeira, who landed on the disabled list Saturday. It was the third multi-home run game in Parmelee's career. He has also spent time with the Twins and Orioles.
