OAKLAND, Calif. — Here was outfielder Ramon Flores on Saturday afternoon, sitting in a major league clubhouse, wearing a major league uniform. He was at the airport in Philadelphia at 5 a.m., connected in Minneapolis and arrived in the Bay Area in time for lunch. He had seen his name in the starting lineup posted on the wall, had just been congratulated by several teammates and was talking to about a dozen reporters.
And yet none of it seemed real.
“I feel I’m still dreaming,” Flores said through a translator. “Maybe tomorrow I’ll wake up and realize I’m in the major leagues.
