On Monday afternoon, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan announced his retirement on Twitter.
Bryan will expand on his decision to walk away from the ring Monday night on "Raw" near his hometown in Seattle.

Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I'll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude

Bryan has been sidelined since April 14 of last year due to concussion-like symptoms, an issue that has plagued him during his career.
