The Los Angeles Dodgers were facing elimination at home, but they rallied for a 3-1 victory in Game 6 of the 2017 World Series on Tuesday, and will host a winner-take-all Game 7 on Wednesday.
The odds seemed stacked against the Dodgers when the Astros took an early one-run lead with ace Justin Verlander on the mound, and for five innings they could do nothing against the right-hander.
But Los Angeles chipped away, with a single, a hit-by-pitch, a double and a sacrifice fly being just enough to take a 2-1 lead. Then once Verlander was out of the game, they tacked on a third run when Joc Pederson hit his third home run of the World Series, this one off reliever Joe Musgrove.
