CHICAGO — The fall colors are beautiful at Graceland Cemetery right now.
On the north side of Lake Willowmere, there’s a stunning maple tree in the midst of change, with bright red leaves on the outside, yellow leaves just beneath that outer edge and, near the trunk of the tree where the Chicago sunlight hasn’t yet fully permeated, a few straggling green leaves.
On the south side of the lake — which, in all honesty, is more of a pond — there’s a sprawling oak tree that’s still in the process of morphing from green to yellow.
