CHICAGO — A sea of blue and white flooded the wide streets surrounding Wrigley Field on a seasonally warm Friday afternoon ahead of the Cubs' first World Series game on the North Side since 1945.
Despite bars charging up to $100 in cover fees, people clamored for position in lines running nearly a block down the street. Everyone wanted a piece of the Cubs' World Series atmosphere, and price was not an issue.
2:50 pm CT: The Sports Corner, across from Wrigley Field, hits capacity. 500 people paid $50 each to watch game pic.
