Ghana defeated South Korea, 3-2, in an action-packed World Cup game on Monday.
Inaki Williams kicked and missed a low cross, and the ball rolled to Mohammed Kudus, who drove it into the net to give Ghana its winning margin in the 68th minute. Ghana had gone up by 2-0 in the first half, and then lost that lead before getting the winner.
After Ghana’s third goal, South Korea attacked frantically and bombarded the net with good shots as time wound down. But a scrambling Ghana defense fought everything off and left South Korea in a tough spot to advance to the next round.
