Tiger Woods will play his next competitive round of golf when he’s 40.
That is, if he makes it to the first tee.
Woods announced Friday that he had a second microdiscectomy surgery on his back Wednesday and won’t play again the rest of the year.
“This is certainly disappointing, but I’m a fighter,” Woods said Friday on his website. “I've been told I can make a full recovery, and I have no doubt that I will. … This is unfortunate, but these things happen. I've been injured before and played again. It won't be any different this time.
