Kyler Murray injured his lower leg late last week against the San Francisco 49ers, but practiced this week and said he’d play.
Before the Arizona Cardinals’ first drive was finished, Murray was hurt again.
Murray limped back to the locker room after injuring his ankle on Arizona’s first possession against the Los Angeles Rams and a playoff spot on the line.
Chris Streveler, who had never thrown an NFL pass before Sunday, replaced Murray. He shoved forward a pass to Jonathan Ward in motion, and Ward took it 11 yards for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead.
