It's all sponsorships these days, as NASCAR teams will readily admit. Three drivers and their teams got reminders on Friday.
Take Greg Biffle. He and Roush Fenway Racing got bad news when a popular cracker brand decided against renewing its sponsorship. In terms of dollars, it's not a cracker-crumbs quandary.
Earlier this week, Biffle suggested he might be leaving Sprint Cup racing if his results don't improve. Loss of a major sponsor does nothing to improve his outlook.
Also on Friday, Geico announced sponsorship plans for Talladega. That includes the track's sprint race and naming rights for its restart zone.
