Will Power has finally taken his first win of 2017 five rounds into the season.
The Team Penske driver has had some strong performances so far this year but has yet to be able to seal the deal in his No. 12 Chevrolet. Finally, on Saturday, Power crossed the line in first place at the IndyCar Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Power started on pole and traded the lead back and forth with his teammate Helio Castroneves during the first two rounds of stops.
After the third and final round of stops, however, Power pulled away from Castroneves who ended up losing positions to Scott Dixon, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Simon Pagenaud.
