Will Power held off a hard-charging Tony Kanaan to win Sunday’s thrilling Verizon IndyCar Kohler Grand Prix at the Road America track in Elkhart Lake, Wis.
The victory marked the second-straight for Powers, as the driver of the No. 12 Penske Chevrolet previously took the checkered flag at the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit Race 2 on June 5.
A caution on lap 39 at Road America prompted by Conor Daly hitting the wall after a left-rear suspension problem set up a six-lap sprint at the end of the race. Power got a solid restart to maintain his position in the lead.
