Friday's Padres-Rockies game was delayed in the top of the ninth inning at Coors Field after the Rocky Mountain sky opened up for an unusual downpour of rain and hail.

Rockies players rushed off the field with gloves over their heads as thunder also shook the stadium, according to fans at the game.
