At the winter meetings in 2014, Dick Enberg was asked, at the press conference to announce he was the recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award, about the difference between calling games locally and nationally.
Enberg has done both in his Hall of Fame career, and told a story about how he not only put thought into doing what amounts to the same job differently, but was asked to do so by his bosses.

“My training as a network announcer is right down the middle, no bias,” Enberg said.
