When Browns quarterback Cody Kessler went down Sunday against the Patriots with a chest/ribs injury, that meant one thing: Charlie Whitehurst time.
Every instinct in the hearts and minds of Browns fans probably pointed to imminent destruction at the hands of a refreshed Tom Brady, but don't fear. Whitehurst is here. The former Clemson star took over for Kessler in the first half and put up some incredible numbers: 3-of-7 passing for 32 yards and another two yards rushing. That's almost 40 total yards!
Even if you don't believe in Whitehurst's immense football talent, believe in Whitehurst, the man and legend.
