Olympic memory: “My mom gave me a VHS tape when I was 8 years old of the women’s gymnastics team from the ’96 Olympics. … I just was obsessed with it, I’d watch it every single day, I wanted to be just like them. They won the team gold medal, and then my favorite Ukrainian gymnast, Lilia Podkopayeva, she won the floor gold, and I remember I wanted to be just like her.
